Back in Lincoln and roaring to go...or not

"It has been nearly two full weeks since I got back from California. I can't believe three weeks went past so fast! Isn't it unbelievable?! Am I the only one who feels that the earth might be spinning faster nowadays?? And scientists said that the earth is actually slowing down (check it out here)!

But anyway, back to little Lincoln here...the first major change here is that Su Hoon has left. :( She's one of my closest friends here in Lincoln, and not having her here is something I find hard to get used to. Su Hoon is most thoughtful, sensitive, and loyal friends I've had and I'm really sorry to see her have to go home when she really wanted to stay in the states. I can only wish her all the best in Malaysia, and hopefully will get the chance to meet her in the future."

The above two paragraphs had been sitting in my draft folder for a couple of weeks now. Sorry to be absent for so long, but I was so engrossed with my somewhat new, hectic life that the last thing I wanted to do was to sit down and write about it. But anyway, I just came back from The Brothers Grimm, which happened to be the first movie which I watched sitting alone! I actually went with Ryan, Chi Min, Sin Yee, and Joey, but we went so late that the cinema was packed by the time we got in, and there was absolutely no space for five people to sit together. To make it worse, when I went in, it was so dark and I couldn't find Ryan and Chi Min, so I just sat at the nearest empty seat that I could find. It wasn't a bad experience though! The movie was good, sort of a mix of comedy and fantasy. It was sort of like a melting pot for all sorts of fairy tale characters--there were Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Ginger Bread Man, Hansel and Gretel...etc. Cute! Not to mention there were two hot guys--Heath Leadger and Matt Damon--and two gorgeous ladies--Monica Belluci and, uh, somebody I don't know. Hehe.

Well, some of you might have noticed that I've changed my website slightly. I did this because I saw how formal and informative other graduate students' websites are. Unfortunately I'm still catching up with my research project so a "my research" section would probably have to wait at least a couple more weeks. Anyway, the main reason, really, for me to change the layout of my website is because I realised how ugly the pages appear on the Firefox browser and on Linux! Horrible! Now they look ok, still not great, but at least the words don't cover the pictures or run off the tables anymore. :P
